California Roll
The ultimate gateway sushi roll. Inside-out design featuring creamy avocado, crisp cucumber, and savory crab sticks coated in toasted sesame seeds.
Ingredients
- 4 Crab sticks Kanikama
- shreddedn1 tbsp Kewpie mayonnaisen1/2 Avocado
- sliced into stripsn1/2 English cucumber
- juliennedn2 sheets Premium Sushi Norin2 cups Seasoned sushi ricen2 tbsp Toasted sesame seedsnPlastic wrap for your bamboo mat
Instructions
- Step 1: Shred the crab sticks and mix with Kewpie mayonnaise in a small bowl.nStep 2: Wrap your bamboo sushi mat completely in plastic wrap.
- This is essential to prevent the rice from sticking for this inside-out roll.nStep 3: Place a sheet of nori on the mat, spread 1 cup of rice evenly all over it, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.nStep 4: Carefully flip the nori sheet over completely so that the rice layer is now facing down against the plastic wrap.nStep 5: Arrange the seasoned crab, avocado slices, and cucumber strips horizontally across the center of the nori.
- Roll tightly using the mat, compress into a square or cylinder shape, and slice into 8 pieces.
